That's one reason why using the slide stop is more reliable than pulling back on the slide; because some times shooters will pull it back but then also ease it forward removing momentum and causing the gun to not lock up properly. If that doesn't fix it, take the slide apart in the rear (you can find a YT video of how to take the back plate off) and make sure the springs on the firing pin, extractor and firing pin safety are in their correct orientation and not deformed. Polish inside the slide rail use 400 to 600 grit sand paper filed on thr edge of a credit card and full length back and fourth along the entire rail slots and the clean out and try fit on frame, better to repeat often and check for fit than tale too much.
